Services
At BRC, we are fascinated by the power of sound.
With advanced degrees in acoustics, years of field experience, and deep involvement in the design world's premier leadership associations, our firm has a long history of industry leadership and innovation.
As your acoustical consulting and design partners, our team members thrive on the diversity of projects we see.
In any given week, you might find us in a historic theater, on a remote logging road, in an aircraft factory, on the rooftop of a 20-story building, or in a design meeting for a museum or historic renovation such as the Space Needle.
As leaders of today and innovators of tomorrow, BRC builds on a rich legacy of pioneering acoustical design.
BRC Acoustics began in 1960 as Towne, Richards & Chaudiere, Inc., a pioneering acoustical consulting firm in the Northwest.
Recognizing that there was more to acoustical engineering than just theater design, the original TRC team - with partners Buzz Towne, Roy Richards, and Herb Chaudiere - transformed the architectural and engineering communities by introducing acoustical design into the mainstream.
The acoustical environment has a major impact on how a space feels, communicates, and interacts with the people inside it.
At BRC, we've worked in churches, multi-family residential, convention centers, high-rise towers, and major hotels to optimize the building performance and its occupants' experience.
Working with architects, engineers, and building owners, BRC acoustical consultants optimize environments through the analysis and design of all factors affecting buildings' interior acoustics: sound isolation, the control of reverberation and reflections, HVAC noise control, and sound quality in performance and presentation spaces.
Keeping HVAC system noise at the appropriate level is critical for the success of a performance, education, or communication space.
Mechanical system noise control is key for managing background noise levels.
Any space that involves communication must have effective noise and vibration control to ensure that programs, instruction, and every type of acoustical interaction can take place without background noise interference.
BRC's experienced acoustical consultants design mechanical system noise and vibration solutions to ensure that lectures and performances are heard clearly and that the sound quality of your space is optimized for its intended use.
A high-quality audiovisual system is key for a great performance venue or conference space.
A well-designed audiovisual system is critical for performance venues, lecture halls, classrooms, and any other environment with visual and audio program material.
BRC acoustical consultants make sure that your sound & AV systems bring people together with uniform sound coverage, clear speech intelligibility, and sharp visual & graphic displays.
BRC's AV designs are customized to meet your precise needs.
