Among PEG's many accomplishments have been the design of the very first Gold LEED office building in the Commonwealth, the design for the first homeless shelter in the US to be recognized by the Green Building Initiatives (GBI), Green Globes environmental assessment and rating system and the first ground-coupled heating and cooling system for the recently opened Fairfax County Golf Course.

PEG's energy conscious designs and analysis started with its founding in 1979.
In its early history, PEG focused primarily on energy evaluations of public buildings and presentations to public groups on various engineering related topics including energy efficiency.
Over the next three decades, our focus gradually shifted to our engineering consulting services.
We have contributed our innovative and energy conscious designs to more than a thousand projects in both the public and private sectors.
PEG provided the MEP systems design for the complete reconstruction of historic building at main entrance to the campus of Longwood University.
The design included the creation of a new central chiller plant to house over 1,200 tons of chiller capacity with central cooling towers to serve this building and several adjacent buildings.
PEG has also worked on Ruffner Hall, TABB Hall, Blackwell Hall.
PEG provided the MEP systems design for the New Residence Hall dormitory which also houses a new campus central cooling and heating plant.
PEG performed the design of the MEP systems for the base building and tenant fit-out of a new office/warehouse building consisting of 55,000 square feet, which was certified Gold by the LEED scoring system.
Our green building design secured 33% of the LEED points to certify the building for Gold and was the first Gold C.I. certification in Virginia.
PEG performed the design of the MEP systems for a 90,000 plus square foot office building.
The building includes three levels of underground parking garage, ground level retail space, four floors of office tenant space, and a top floor conference center with balcony terrace space.
PEG performed the design to upgrade the church's existing systems which were unable to maintain proper humidity and temperature throughout and provide updated capability to provide adequate ventilation air to the sanctuary.
Currently, the church enjoys the comfort of modern systems with nearly no outwardly appearance of ductwork or diffusers.
PEG modernized the 19th Century HVAC system with the aim to maintain the historical aspects of the church.
PEG provided the MEP systems design for a new 5,000 SF chapel.
PEG provided the MEP systems design for a new 27,000 SF Recreation & Sport Center Complex for Arlington County.
The complex houses an athletics Recreation Center, baseball/softball fields, tennis/handball courts, press boxes, restrooms, concession stands, equipment storage areas and field lighting supply rooms.
Design of the power distribution to the parking lot, garage and general site lighting was designed as well.
PEG provided MEP systems design for a new 80,000 square foot recreational facility which includes two indoor pools, gymnasium, rock climbing wall, fitness area, water slides, conference rooms, and other support areas.
