Hunter Creek Engineering, a consulting civil engineering firm was established by Michael Burgoyne, P.E. in June of 2002 in Reno, Nevada. Hunter Creek Engineering (HCE) offers civil engineering and design services for Public Works and Land Development projects in northern Nevada. Public Works Infrastructure including; Water, Sewer, Storm Drain and Effluent Reuse Utilities and Street and Roadway Design;.

HCE's full range of services include preliminary designs, site opportunity and constraint investigations; planning, zoning and entitlement engineering; design modeling, final design, plan preparation, cost estimating, project specifications, construction contract preparation and construction engineering.
Services
Michael has over 30 years experience in civil engineering design, project management and construction engineering for public works infrastructure, downtown redevelopment and commercial and residential development projects.
Michael has a wide range of design and project management experience for both public and private clients.
Mr. Burgoyne has an extensive background in construction administration, inspection and engineering materials design and testing.
Michael has performed inspections for earthwork and soils, asphalt and Portland cement concrete paving, and pipeline construction.
HCE provided design services to remedy the activated sludge pond.
Improvements included raising the level of the pond, modifications to pond piping and improved aeration.
The construction required a Dam Safety Permit issued by the State of Nevada.
Lyon County upgraded its Rolling A Wastewater Treatment Facility in Dayton, Nevada.
Treated effluent generated from the plant is used for irrigation at the Traditions Residential project site located north of Highway 50.
LCUD requested Hunter Creek assist with providing treated effluent to Traditions from the Rolling A Wastewater Treatment Facility.
HCE provided permit services for this residential wind turbine in Washoe County.
Project required overall site plan, electrical single line diagram, structural analysis of the turbine tower and foundation details.
Sterling Ridge Townhomes is a 7.7 acre, 142 unit townhome development, located at the northeast corner of El Rancho Drive and McCarran Boulevard in Sparks, Nevada.
The project includes common parking, tot lot, cabana and pool area.
Units range from 2 bedroom to 3 bedrooms with all containing a 2 car garage.
Diedrichsen Elementary School is an existing elementary school located in the City of Sparks.
The project included re-grading and striping the main parking lot; re-grading paved areas around the building; trash enclosure; and water seepage issues from the landscape areas.
Hunter Creek completed the design of the parking lot adding additional spaces while providing adequate drainage to eliminate ponding in the parking area.
The existing handicap ramps were removed and replaced with new ramps to meet current ADA code.
