Woods Engineering provides structural engineering services for a variety of commercial, institutional, high rise, residential, industrial and specialty projects. Our goal is to achieve an engineering balance of economy and safety while maintaining the artistic intent. We accomplish this with the use of cutting edge technology such as BIM, proven 3D modeling techniques and listening to our clients.

For over a decade Woods Engineering has been providing structural design services for a large spectrum of projects. The firm was established in 1999 by Owner and President Don Woods and has grown from Don's dining room to a full time staff of nine in our current office in historic downtown Wilmington, NC.

Don Woods established the firm Woods Engineering, PA in 1999 where he worked out of his home with three full-time employees.
In 2005 the "home" office was moved to Historic downtown Wilmington, NC and currently employs a full-time staff of thirteen.
Adam L. Sisk has been designing structures for Woods Engineering since he graduated from NC State University in 2010.
He has been involved in all phases of the design and construction process.
Before returning to school to complete her degree, Melissa was a Structural Designer in our Wilmington, NC office.
Woods Engineering utilizes state of the art technology such as REVIT/Building Information Modeling (BIM), ETABS, RISA, ADAPT and Enercalc.
Woods Engineering develops optimal structural systems to help the owner and architect achieve their goals.
Woods Engineering provides design services for buildings and structures of all sizes, types, and shapes.
Structural Engineers design the skeleton of a building to support and resist forces of nature such as gravity, wind and seismic.
