Services
Specialty Engineering was founded in 1981 with the goal of providing our clients with outstanding customer service, reliable testing, and comprehensive maintenance that meets their needs and exceeds their expectations.
With over 35 years of experience providing high voltage testing and maintenance services in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, California, Southwest, and even internationally.
Specialty Engineering has the ability to find innovative solutions for our clients in areas that range from NETA standards based testing services, to substation apparatus repair, relay upgrades, SCADA upgrades, substation construction services, and much more!
At Specialty Engineering, our team of high voltage engineers and technicians have extensive experience in every aspect of high voltage equipment testing and maintenance services.
Unlike other shops that specialize in high voltage testing for electric utilities, we can test and repair your equipment at your location or at our shop in Vancouver, WA.
We have the tools and test equipment to service high voltage equipment ranging from 5kV through 230kV, including oil, air, vacuum, and SF6.
If you're experiencing any trouble with your high voltage electrical equipment, our team of experienced service engineers and shop technicians can help determine the cause of the problems and whether any steps need to be taken to prevent costly interruptions in service.
Given the lengthy lead times (in many cases up to 40 weeks) for the procurement of new voltage regulators and repair parts utilities often find themselves in need of considering more viable options.
Here at Specialty Engineering, we are now offering a new buy/sell/lease program that can deliver refurbished and warrantied regulators at a fraction of the cost and time as compared to acquiring brand new regulators.
Units have been completely inspected internally to ensure good remaining life of all electrical and mechanical components.
