Services
JE Engineering, Inc. works with architects, contractors, and building owners to ensure every building we design operates with high levels of proficiency, improving the quality of life for the building inhabitants and reducing energy costs.
JE Engineering balances indoor environmental comfort with other factors such as installation cost, ease of maintenance, and energy efficiency.
Our mechanical engineers are licensed professionals who have extensive hands-on experience in the design, operation and maintenance of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
JE Engineering, Inc. acted as principal commissioning agent for all building systems on this 100,000 square-foot medical facility including thermography testing of the building envelope.
Precision Air and Water Balance also provided O&M training and performed the test and balance for the air and water systems.
We also completed all LEED submittal work for the Fundamental Commissioning Pre-requisite and the Enhanced Commissioning credit which included design review and the Systems Manual.
A LEED Gold Certification is a symbol of a well-designed, sustainable building.
Casey's was an interesting and difficult design project for us.
The building itself created tough design parameters being only 20 feet wide but about 100 feet long while having five occupied floors.
The owner requirements included multiple kitchens on multiple floors, high occupancy areas, rooftop seating with snow melt & cooling, and a low noise requirement.
We accomplished these requirements through incorporating various equipment and ideas.
The roof top snow melt & cooling system consists of a radiant style tubing system that utilizes a series of ground loop piping to reject heat in the summer and absorb heat in the winter.
