Alpha-Omega Geotech is a seasoned group of geotechnical and civil engineers with extensive local knowledge of ground conditions in Kansas and Missouri. We partner with civil and structural engineers, architects, general contractors, municipalities, and private enterprises to ensure the stability of structures built on public and private land. The soil in and around Kansas City is not the same as the soil in other parts of the country.

We have a lot of clay, as well as various rock formations in this area, and soil testing can shine a light on potential problems before they become costly. Land thought to be sufficiently solid can turn out soft under scientific scrutiny and crucial soil inconsistencies and variations may also be uncovered. Only accurate test results can show where adjustments or soil replacements may be needed.

Every jurisdiction adopts its own set of regulations to guide construction, maintenance, and occupancy standards for commercial structures. Alpha-Omega Geotech has a long history of working with many of the jurisdictions in Kansas and Missouri and that experience translates into big value for our clients.

Investigate and evaluate soil, rock, groundwater, and man-made materials and their interaction with earth retention systems, structure foundations, and other civil engineering work on projects in and around the Kansas City area.
An investigation of the soil and rock materials underneath a project site determines whether the location is feasible to build or expand on.
Failure to investigate can lead to expensive consequences and structural defect claims down the road.
AOG's combined expertise in civil engineering and design-build construction methods, along with our local Kansas City forensic subsurface history, enables us to thoroughly investigate and validate sites in ways others may find too challenging to sustain.
Each year hundreds of millions of dollars are spent on correcting soil or rock-related instabilities on project sites and oftentimes, the problems could have been prevented.
Exploratory drilling to collect deep rock and soil samples so we can understand what cannot be seen, but must be evaluated and considered.
All sampling methods are conducted in accordance with applicable ASTM standards, and our drilling team brings decades of drilling experience and state-of-the-art specialized equipment to every job site.
Our ATV-mounted CME-55 drill rig allows us to better access swampy or otherwise difficult-to-navigate sites.
This allows AOG to get onsite right away without having to wait for the ground to dry out for access to conventional truck-mounted equipment.
AOG has one of the oldest in-house full service geotechnical construction materials testing laboratories in Kansas City.
We are frequently called on to evaluate the most complex conditions because we have extensive history in the area.
Testing can be a discovery mission, a validation mission, or both.
Sometimes soil can be a mystery until our lab breaks it down and spells it out.
Other times, project designers already have a strong instinct about the soil and look to our lab for confirmation.
Either way, test results should shed light on your site's conditions and help you plan the best route forward.
