LandTech provides a wide range of civil engineering design services in connection with commercial, industrial and residential projects.
Below are descriptions of some of the types of professional civil engineering services we provide to our clients.
LandTech offers land development design services for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Control of stormwater runoff during a construction project is an important element of the land development process.
Erosion and sediment controls reduce impacts to receiving waterways during phases of the project with land disturbance.
LandTech provides a full range of commercial, industrial, and residential surveying services for contractors, architects, business owners, investors, banks, real estate professionals and homeowners.
The list below describes some of the types of surveys we routinely provide to our clients.
Prior to planning any development project, it is important to determine the "lay of the land."
LandTech can provide you with a topographic survey which will determine the contours, elevations, and all significant natural and man-made surface features of the property.
LandTech now has the capability to use small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS, commonly called drones) for providing aerial mapping services.
We have a quadcopter drone for use on small sites and a fixed-wing drone for larger sites.
These drones collect digital images which can be used themselves, or converted to three-dimensional data for production of CAD drawings, maps, and measurements.
The aerial land imagery available from online free or government sources, such as GIS, is often outdated.
LandTech can provide accurate, up-to- date digital photographs and video of a property or site that you can use for planning, design, marketing, or other purposes.
Concrete slab coring has begun at the Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB) Kuwahee Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Knoxville, TN.
Below is a photograph of the construction equipment cutting the core holes in the concrete slab.
Currently, LandTech is staking the locations of foundation piers and dewatering wells in the bottom of the treatment basin for concrete slab coring and saw cuts.
Below are a couple of photos of our work, showing the pink whiskers sticking up at stakeout locations.
I've seen a lot of technological advancements in land surveying and civil engineering over my career, including electronic distance measurements, GPS, and robotics to name a few.
