Now in its 40th year of operations, M S Benbow & Associates was founded in 1978 by Michael S. Benbow, P.E. with the mission of providing client focused consulting and professional engineering services to industrial, petrochemical, governmental, and private industries.
During the '80s, MSB developed new technologies for its petrochemical clients and quickly established itself as a leading design and engineering firm.

Prior to founding his own engineering corporation, Benbow served as a project engineer for Exxon-Mobil and Shell Chemical Co., as well as worked on telecommunications projects for Freeport Chemical, Inc., P.T. Freeport Indonesia, and Freeport-McMoran Resource Partners.
Along with Leo Holzenthal, Benbow was also integral in the development and implementation of the Region One Interoperable Communications System in the New Orleans metro area, which became the first region in the country to implement a project of this magnitude.
