Traditional methods of Reverse Engineering and First Article Inspection are outdated and wasteful. With 3D Scanning, the process is changing. You can quickly capture current geometry where no CAD data is available and you can quickly inspect your product when production begins. With our non-contact 3D Scanning service, thousands of measurements per second are captured into specialized software that can turn that data into usable CAD files or compare it to existing files.

Absolute Geometries uses only the latest in 3D scanning hardware and software and it is our goal to provide the best 3D scanning file output in the industry.
Services
Send parts to Absolute Geometries for scanning or for large projects, we will bring our equipment to your facility.
3D scanning is the process of capturing digital information about the shape of an object with equipment that uses a laser or light to measure the distance between the scanner and the object.
3D scanning is also known as 3D Imaging, Laser Scanning, Laser Digitizing, and Digital Shape Sampling & Processing (DSSP).
3D scanning can capture data of very small objects all the way up to full size aircraft and buildings.
Your part is scanned to produce point cloud data.
That data is converted to a clean mesh file that is then placed on top of the original CAD data.
Rapidform XOV performs a best fit function by determining the most logical way to line up the data.
This function is performed 20 times to ensure that the data is lined up perfectly.
Now the scan data can be compared to the original CAD data to determine the differences.
Many other dimensional operations can be performed.
Absolute Geometries' founder was one of the first 20 people ever to be trained in SLA operations.
He helped to start up DTM's SLS Service Center in 1990 and was instrumental in developing the process as we know it today.
As General Manager of a major RP Service Bureau, he was responsible for being the first to offer the Objet Polyjet technology in the US.
Our experience doesn't stop there.
Our employees have a combined 35 plus years of rapid prototyping knowledge.
That kind of experience is critical in choosing the right material and the right process for the job.
Absolute Geometries will perform CMM inspection on your parts at our facility or yours.
Our portable CMM arm system is ideal for hard to perform inspections on large or unmovable parts.
We offer reasonable rates and quick turnaround so if your CMM inspection requirements are infrequent, there is no need to invest in expensive and hard to use equipment.
