Milano & Grunloh Engineers, LLC started in Central Illinois as a Civil Engineering Firm providing surveying, design engineering, construction engineering and material testing services.
Much of the early work was in sanitary sewage collection systems and treatment facilities design and inspection with major funding by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
Over the years the forces have shifted to water supply, treatment and distribution systems, along with surveying, streets, and sewers.

Division Street Improvements - City of Altamont

In the Fall of 2016, the City of Altamont experienced a sewer collapse along Division Street, which is the main entrance and only truck access to ADM's grain elevator in Altamont.
The street improvement project, totaling approximately $942,000, to repair the damage includes a new 9 thick concrete street (from Main Street to 6th Street), curb and gutter, storm sewer, and ADA intersection improvements.
Milano & Grunloh Engineers, LLC together with South Central Illinois Regional Planning and Development Commission worked with the City to secure $163,309 in DCEO Grant funds, $521,588 in EDP funds, and $38,200 in TARP funds to repair the failing storm sewer, and crumbling concrete street.

The City of Effingham recently began construction on a watermain replacement project along Mulberry Street, Lawrence Avenue, Linden Street, Clark Avenue, and Franklin Avenue.
These areas were experiencing multiple watermain breaks and discolored water due to the aging undersized cast iron line.
The contractor, Kieffer Bros, will replace 4,995 lineal feet of the old watermain with new 8 PVC pipe.
The City will utilize $500,000 in DCEO CDGB grant funds to offset the total cost of the project.
Milano & Grunloh Engineers, LLC provided design engineering, construction engineering and grant administration for the project.

Seefried Industrial Properties, Inc. has developed and constructed a new state-of-the-art distribution center in the City of St. Elmo, located just east of the Pinnacle Foods manufacturing plant and south of Interstate 70.
The 73.8 acre site boasts an impressive 755,000 square foot facility with the ability to expand another 500,000 square feet.
Construction of the distribution center included approximately 162,000 cubic yard of dirt work and excavation, approximately 545,000 square feet (12.4 acres) of new concrete, a new 250,000 gallon ground storage tank, and the extension of water, sewer, gas, and telephone utilities.
