Devices include 4G LTE cellular remote monitoring and alarming products. Server features include Google Maps API, trend logging, alarm notification with escalation, and GPS based geo-fencing. Notification methods include email, SMS text message, and automated voice notifications.
Services
Avalon Engineering has developed over 40 products which are now sold as an off-the-shelf line of products under the name Control Solutions, Inc.
Our engineering efforts are focused almost exclusively on customizing these products for specific customers and their applications.
We have a library of off-the-shelf products to pick from as the starting point for new custom products.
Regardless of how we arrived at the end product, Avalon Engineering will manage production, and provide warranty and ongoing support.
Avalon Engineering's co-founders are Jim Hogenson and Mark Clark.
Jim has been in the contract design business since 1987.
Mark joined the industry in 1993 when Mark and Jim first began working together at another contract design company.
Control Solutions, Inc., was spun off in 1995.
Jim and Mark decided to get back into the contract design business in 2003, forming Avalon Engineering, LLC, at that time.
Avalon Engineering originally provided contract design services for virtually anything involving embedded microprocessor based control.
Avalon Engineering's sister company is Control Solutions, Inc., an OEM manufacturer of over 40 off-the-shelf products.
Any of these are available for private labeling or custom adaptations.
The network I/O products in most cases are also field programmable controllers.
In many cases, one only needs to write a control program for the existing product to customize it for a particular application.
Avalon Engineering has evolved into a long term partner in a relationship where the design is only the beginning.
