Alvine and Associates, Inc. was founded in 1961 as a mechanical and electrical systems design and consulting firm. We are a family-owned company with two generations of expertise in fire protection engineering, architectural lighting design, building commissioning services, technology systems design, and life support systems engineering. Our work is based on our philosophy that the best engineering involves equal parts science, art, and business.

Science is the foundation of engineering. Science must be applied to provide innovative solutions that are required as part of developing world-class projects. The Alvine Engineering staff has a passion for learning that allows us to bring a level of innovation not usually applied to the practice of engineering. Embedding the creativity of an artist in the engineering practice is critical to defining innovative solutions required for complex projects.

The element of Art allows the architecture to define the direction of the design. Finally, we recognize that as MEP and technology engineers, we must be your Business partner.
Services
At Alvine Engineering we are proud to collaborate with architects, developers, and business owners on a variety of projects across the country.
We take our role in each project seriously, continuing to stay informed of the local life safety codes and industry trends as cities and neighborhoods evolve.
Alvine Engineering personnel have the skills and knowledge to help our clients create spaces that achieve their specific goals.
With professionals licensed in areas from Lighting Certified Professionals (LC) to BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designers (RCDD), our designs are efficient and dependable.
The WELL Building Standard acts as a map, creating a customizable path that leads building owners and designers to create a space that inspires healthier, more productive, and happier people.
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) explains this as, "a performance-based system for measuring, certifying, and monitoring features of the built environment that impact human health and wellbeing, through air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort, and mind."
In other words, WELL projects implement measures, based on the seven areas above, in building design and tracks the results to confirm that the measures taken actually result in positive change.
We invest in our people and their professional development.
Whether part of our formal or informal mentoring programs or our continuous training programs, our employees benefit from practical experience and a wide range of project types, sizes, and expectations.
