IES conducts assessments of existing facilities for various purposes including change of use in occupancy, verification of structural integrity, re-adaptation of existing facilities or upgrades to existing mechanical systems to name a few.
Often times these require strengthening or repair of existing structural framing systems to accommodate the proposed changes.
Our team utilizes highly skilled engineers to assess existing conditions and provide recommendations and/or design documents for the necessary improvements.

Work with Team Leader, Project Manager, other Project Engineers, Revit Modelers, and other staff to develop construction documents.
Perform construction administration after construction document phase of project consisting of field observations, review of shop drawings, responding to RFI's and creating ASI's and PR's as required.

On 10/27/17, the state board of the Structural Engineers Association of Texas presented Justice Edge, PE (Partner at IES) with its Annual Distinguished Service Award.
Each year, this award goes to one engineer in the state of Texas whose contributions to the Structural Engineer's Association of Texas (SEAoT) has been exemplary.
Justice Edge has been a member of SEAoT since 2000, served on the San Antonio Chapter board from 2007 through 2015, was the San Antonio Chapter President in 2008, served on the state board from 2010 to 2015, and was the State-wide President in 2012.
