County Engineers Association Cal
The County Engineers Association of California (CEAC), formed in 1914, is comprised of county engineers, public works directors, county road commissioners, and professional personnel throughout California's 58 counties. Its purpose is "To advance county engineering and management by providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information aimed at improving service to the public."

Furthermore, the objective of CEAC is "To accomplish the advancement of engineering methods and ethical practice through networking efforts of all 58 counties in the state." Through discussion, interchange, and dissemination of engineering and administrative data/ideas, the organization shall strive to affect "maximum efficiency and modernization in engineering and administrative units of local government."

Throughout CEAC's history, it has maintained a close relationship with the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) to lend support in policy development and advocacy efforts, thus benefiting counties and their ability to serve their citizens.
Services
Principal Membership in CEAC are County Engineers, County or City Engineers in combined cities and counties of Charter Counties, County Surveyors, County Road Commissioners, Directors of County Departments of Public Works, Flood Control Engineers, and heads of other Departments concerned with County Engineering and Public Works, serving major segments of any County under the direction of the Board of Supervisors.
Each County is allocated one Principal Membership, with all eligible personnel connected with public works and designated by the Principal Member to become Members and participate in the Association's functions.
To further the Associations' objective of advancing engineering methods, CEAC offers multiple conferences and regional meetings throughout the year.
The conferences and meetings offer a unique opportunity for county public works officials, and private sector consultants to meet and exchange ideas and information aimed at improving service to the public, while lending support to policy development and advocacy efforts which benefit counties and the residents of California.
The process of government by which bills are considered and laws enacted is commonly referred to as the Legislative Process.
The annual Policy and Legislative Priorities are best achieved through collaboration and shared responsibility.
To achieve the following, CEAC, CSAC staff, and individual county staff must combine resources, including policy and technical knowledge and expertise to maximize our influence, efficacy, and successful outcomes.
Please submit all legislative proposals through a Public Works Director or Department Head.
CEAC offers various resources to our membership, including posting of Public Sector Job Openings and conducting member surveys.
Resources pertaining to specific Policy Areas are posted as appropriate.
The California Counties' websites and California Counties Map are also valuable resources for our membership.
