We heartily congratulate our 2021 major awardees for their remarkable contributions to the Yale STEM community:. After two months of hard work by our amazing intern Luna Aguilar, we now present to you our new YSEA logos! Drumroll, please. Here they are! The design of this logo focuses on the human element of YSEA and highlights the fact that most members are Yale alumni.

Since the organization's name does not highlight. Come relax among fellow scientists, engineers, and friends while dining on desserts and snacks. This is a family-friendly event so feel free to bring your families. RSVP here. We'll meet at 12pm at the map. Join us for an event with Yale alum and astronomer Gary Chanan '70! He will be discussing the development of the Keck telescopes, which play a quintessential role in astronomy research.

The virtual symposium will showcase the work of Yale student researchers in projects from around the world in fields including science and engineering. A detailed agenda and registration link is available.

YSEA's MISSION: YSEA connects alumni with students, the University, and each other to strengthen the Yale science and engineering community.
Founded in 1914, YSEA is one of the oldest university alumni organizations in the world with a focus on issues in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Our mission is to connect alumni with students, the University, and each other to strengthen the Yale science and engineering community.
While approximately half of our members hold science degrees, and a similar number hold engineering degrees, some of our members are musicians, writers, or other humanities graduates.
Our mission is to connect alumni with students, with the University, and with each other to strengthen the Yale science and engineering community.
Promoting the highest quality of science and engineering at Yale in the students, faculty, facilities and courses of study.
Recognizing and publicizing the accomplishments of Yale students, faculty and distinguished alumni with special awards and prizes.
Encouraging interaction between Yale and its engineering and science alumni and between Yale and private and public enterprise.
For more than sixty-five years, the Yale Science & Engineering Association has recognized outstanding alumni and faculty for providing meritorious service to Yale, for performing distinguished service to industry, commerce, or education, and for their remarkable achievements in advancing basic and applied science.
The honor roll of past award winners includes astronauts, entrepreneurs, Nobel laureates, government leaders, philanthropists, physicians, university presidents, industrialists, and, of course, some of the world's greatest scientists and engineers.
The projects and activities that Yale students engage in every year are incredible.
YSEA is dedicated to supporting these projects and activities.
Every year, we give out grants to undergraduates doing research and student organizations working on STEM-related projects.
Below is a slideshow of infographics* that shows how we support student activities on and off-campus!
YSEA gives out grants every year to support undergraduates in their STEM-related endeavors.
Our two main types of grants are individual grants and group grants.
Individual grants are intended to fund a research project undertaken by a single student working with a faculty supervisor.
Group grants, on the other hand, are intended to fund a project undertaken by a group of students working under a faculty supervisor, such as those sponsored by Yale student organizations.
The individual and group grants are intended to fund a project that has specific objectives and can be completed within a year.
