SImilcut personally have been associated with rugged highly advanced inside tube and pipe scarfing equipment for over 30 years. With installations in most segments of the tube and pipe industry our design concept has been proven time and time again. Although the basic process of ID and OD scarfing has remained the same for years new equipment designs continue to evolve to improve scarf quality for existing material grades while advancing into cutting new high strength and more exotic materials.

Designing our equipment using 3D engineering software allows us to present information to our customers that allows them see the new equipment in there mill line from all angles. Finite Element Analysis has become a cornerstone of our overall design process. SImilcut is formed on the cornerstone principles of successful heavy mill equipment builders-engineering knowhow and quality on time manufacturing.

We have been engineering and manufacturing equipment and parts for the tube and pipe industry for decades.
Services
Advancements in high frequency welder technology have allowed us to pioneer the use of new ferrite principles for ID cutting bars.
We have been able to simplify the assembly while enhancing the cooling and flushing capacity of the ferrite and bar.
This improves welding performance and greatly reduces the chance for weld spume build up on the bar.
We can also offer the ability to easily adjust the position of the ferrite mass so fine tuning of weld power transfer to the weld vee can be accomplished.
SImilcut has recently supplied a new OD scarfing chopper that is different than any other scarf chopper on the market.
Our unique design assures that the scarf travels from the scarf tool to the chopper eliminating the need for the operator to guide or manipulate the hot scarf.
The operator can actuate the cut remotely and turn on the chopper at the main operator console.
The scarf is self-feeding.
The unit is simple and rugged and requires no special attention other than changing the standard scarf tool and chopper tool set.
Because of the rugged design of our units they typically run for many years with only minor routine maintenance.
It is however, advisable at some point to take a close look and evaluate the overall performance of the system.
An option may be advisable to consider a rebuild and look any design upgrades that may be of interest.
We rebuild critical components and complete units to new condition on a regular basis and can often adapt design improvements.
