IMC Consulting Engineers
IMC is a design and consulting engineering firm that operates within the commercial industry to provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing design services. Since its inception in 1988, IMC has serviced a broad range of major institutions and facilities in south Louisiana and throughout the Gulf Coast region working directly with architects, civil engineers, contractors and owners.

Its focus for nearly three decades has been to consistently offer quality services to the commercial, institutional and municipal marketplace. With a staff of 17 professionals, technicians, drafters and support personnel, IMC places specific emphasis on the commercial and municipal sectors including office buildings, schools, hotels, hospitals, restaurants, shopping centers, sport facilities and municipal infrastructure improvements such as storm water drainage pumping systems, sewerage improvements and street lighting.

As a long established consulting firm, IMC has handled a multitude of major administrative, medical and infrastructure projects in the metro New Orleans area.

Chip serves as the Mechanical Principal in Charge.
He received his Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering degree from LSU in 1990.
Chip is responsible for the total design of various commercial HVAC systems, including load calculations, specifications, system layout and completion of construction documents.
He has also directed the design of performance contracts and energy-savings projects including energy audits, financial and technical analysis, savings calculations, design and specification of related measures and project implementation.
IMC is a MEP design and consulting firm that specializes in the commercial, institutional and municipal marketplace.

Long practiced in sustainable design, IMC has been involved in many LEED certified projects and understands today's sustainable design requirements.

The Mechanical/HVAC team has experience in various systems including direct expansion (DX), chilled water systems, heating hot water systems, variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems and a variety of other system types.

In addition to its work with traditional heating/cooling systems, IMC also has experience with clean room applications, industrial ventilation, smoke control and other unique applications.

The most common aspects of electrical design in any commercial facility include power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and emergency generation.
Aside from its electrical subspecialties such as nurse call, close circuit T.V., security systems and access control, IMC prides itself on its broad achievements in lighting design.
IMC's lighting design expertise ranges from major sports arenas to architectural lighting and interior spaces to specialized lighting design projects.
This project entailed the construction of a new 25,000 square-foot, one-story building housing an adult day care and children's early learning center.
This project entailed the renovation of a two-story building to provide administrative offices for Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office.
The design also included the addition of a back-up generator.
This 6.4 million project entailed the replacement of the school's HVAC system and the design of a new sprinkler system.
This project entailed the renovation of the 80,000 square-foot facility which included classrooms, computer labs, kitchen, cafeteria, gymnasium and administrative areas.
