Midwest Engineering is a licensed structural engineering firm serving businesses and communities in the Upper Midwest. Founded in 2014 by two experienced local engineers, Brent Krohn and Robbie Veurink, the company has built an impressive portfolio of projects throughout the region. The company brings to bear modern design techniques, proven technology and highly trained crews to ensure that every project is executed on-time, on-budget and with exacting precision.

We have extensive experience performing damage assessment and forensic investigations into structural failures or weather related damage to buildings for insurance companies, builders, legal representatives and owners.
Growing up on a farm near Corsica, SD, Robbie Veurink enjoyed working construction, particularly large building projects.
He completed his M.S. and B.S. at in Civil Engineering at South Dakota State University with an emphasis on structural engineering.
Robbie began his engineering career with the City of Sioux Falls, doing project management.
With extensive construction and engineering experience, Robbie quickly became a valuable resource for the City and was heavily utilized for large projects such as the Denny Sanford Premier Center and the Spellerberg Aquatic Center.
