Recently discovered environmental contaminant are a global threat to wildlife and human health and are causing new challenges to our communities. OxyZone is an effective chemical oxidation process to bring contaminated soil and groundwater sites into regulatory compliance and closure faster and with less cost. The patented OxyZone process overcomes limitations found in most environmental remediation treatment methods, resulting in significantly decreased remediation time and clean-up costs.

Founded in 2004 in Newton Massachusetts, EnChem Engineering possesses the environmental remediation expertise, transformative technologies, effective processes, and resources to quickly solve the most complex environmental challenges.
Services
Founded in 2004, EnChem Engineering, Inc., based in Newton, MA, is an expert in the design and implementation of advanced environmental remediation services for both common organic and emerging contamination.
EnChem Engineering has been a hazardous waste consultant to the US EPA, the US Air Force, and Fortune 500 companies.
He has 36 years of consulting experience in the environmental industry that includes risk and project management, strategy development, and in situ remedial design and implementation services for complex hazardous waste site remediation projects such as those occurring at fuel and chemical release sites.
Since 2004, EnChem Engineering, Inc. has provided environmental remediation services for a variety of clients from small privately owned companies, to large petroleum marketers, industrial manufacturing, real estate development companies, and the US Environmental Protection Agency and US Air Force.
We bring our knowledge of investigative and consulting services and specialized remediation techniques and technologies to our clients and provide complete solutions for soil and groundwater concerns and issues.
Recently discovered environmental contaminants are a global threat to wildlife and human health and are causing new challenges to our communities.
These emerging contaminants do not biodegrade under typical environmental conditions and resist most treatment technologies making them extremely persistent in the environment.
Remediation is becoming more complex requiring site specific, cost-effective and scalable treatment approaches.
Health-based advisories for two of these emerging contaminants - perfluoroctane sulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) have been developed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and adopted by some state agencies.
EnChem Engineering is developing and implementing transformative technologies for solving some of the world's most pressing emerging contaminant challenges.
Come see what we are all about.
Founded in 2004 in Newton Massachusetts, EnChem Engineering possesses the environmental remediation expertise, transformative technologies, effective processes, and resources to quickly solve the most complex environmental challenges.
1) Slurry tests, 2) Soil column tests, 3) Specialized reactor experiments, or 4) Custom experiments to answer specific technical questions; to name a few.
Bench scale treatability tests are used to better understand important design parameters relevant to an in situ treatment system design or check for any interfering compounds or conditions that would inhibit a technology's performance under site specific conditions.
As an example of why a bench scale treatability test might be required, we present a case study where the client wanted to be sure that in-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) treatment would destroy trichloroethene trapped in the soil and groundwater faster than the rate that the trichloroethene could volatilize and potentially enter the indoor airspace of the building.
