Originally located in Boston, it is now based in Hull, Massachusetts.

Ambient Engineering, Inc. provides a full range of services related to hazardous waste site assessment and cleanup.
Our diverse staff includes Massachusetts Licensed Hazardous Waste Site Cleanup Professionals (LSPs), professional engineers (PEs), professional geologists (PGs), chemists, and environmental scientists.
Ambient has successfully evaluated and cleaned up a wide variety of waste sites, including dry cleaners, gasoline stations, fuel oil storage terminals, and landfills.
Ambient is a recognized expert in assessment and remediation of petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated properties, and is actively involved in developing recommendations for modifications to Massachusetts' environmental regulations related to hydrocarbons.

Ambient performs Due Diligence assessments to ASTM standards which are widely accepted by banks.
ASTM Phase I Assessments include inspections, interviews, municipal records checks and data base searches of State and Federal files.
These assessments don't include any sampling or testing of materials or environmental media.
ASTM Phase II Assessments are performed when a "recognized environmental condition" is found in a Phase I Assessment.
In a Phase II, samples are collected and analyzed.
State and Federal Phase I and II Investigations (Assessments) are also provided by Ambient and conform to regulations such as those in the Massachusetts MCP.
