ECA, since 1976 has served underground and heavy construction professionals in Southern California providing leadership and education on issues important to our members' success. Working to enhance continued development, ECA promotes a healthy construction environment through effective education of regulatory bodies from the contractor's perspective and, informing the industry about ongoing regulatory and economic developments.

ECA is pleased to announce it is now accepting applications for its annual ECA/Les Weed Memorial College Scholarship. The Inland Empire is home to some of the largest deserts in the U.S. with the Mohave in San Bernadino and the Sonoran in Riverside, both occupying two-thirds or more of two of the. The Mission of the Engineering Contractors' Association is to champion the interests of its members and the infrastructure contractors of Southern California through project-based advocacy, labor-management relations, political action and fair public policy.
We held our installation of officers and directors last month like we usually do.
The one difference was in the ceremony's duration-35 minutes-from start to finish.
I want to thank the ECA staff and committee members for putting together a successful installation in a challenging climate.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency sent the state California $174 million in federal funding to invest in water infrastructure projects to improve the quality of water coming out of the tap as well as reduce water pollution.
The California Department of Public Health received a $79 million grant for its Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the California State Water Resources Control Board received a $95 million grant for its Clean Water State Revolving Fund.

In its continuing tradition of encouraging ambitious men and women to further their education, the Engineering Contractors' Association is pleased to announce it is now accepting applications for its annual ECA/Les Weed Memorial College Scholarship.
The Scholarships will be available to any ECA member or members' employee and their family (son, daughter, grandchild) who will be attending any academic institution in the upcoming year.
The College Scholarships may be applied to academic or vocational studies at any accredited college, university, junior or community college, and will be available for full-time students.
