Established in 1967, J.M. Crawford & Associates, Inc. is a multi-disciplined engineering firm located in Lexington, Kentucky. Since our inception, we have collaborated with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to complete more than 350 transportation projects. Our clientele also includes other state DOTS, municipalities, engineering firms, and several other businesses.
As we complete our 52nd year in business, our emphasis is, as it has always been, to provide excellent service and quality in everything that we do. Our three engineers/partners oversee the day-to-day operation of the business and manage every project. Joey Hodskins, PE, PLS serves as President and has been with the firm for 44 years. Stuart McIntosh, PE, who serves as Vice-President, has worked for the company since 1999 after working in the KTC Division of Bridge Design for more than eight years.
Lee Carlisle, PE hired in late 2018, has 17 years' experience providing project management and design engineering. In addition, our engineering/CADD technicians, Greg Crank and John Vinson, have each been with the company for more than 28 years while Greg Childers, hired in 2019, has 18 years of engineering/CADD experience.

Services
Mr. Crawford's firm began offering engineering services from a small office on South Ashland Avenue near the University of Kentucky campus.
With a small, professional team consisting of many UK engineering students working part-time, the office initially provided bridge design services as a subconsultant to many other engineering firms throughout the state of Kentucky.
Projects included Design and Construction Inspection Supervision.
Soon after the firm was founded, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet also began selecting the firm to provide design services as prime consultant on bridge projects throughout the state.
