Distinctive Video Engineering is a husband and wife, Christ centered company doing television system consulting, design and construction. Over the more than thirty years we have been in the business we have done a variety of television systems ranging from simple analog to High Definition digital systems.

These include control rooms for large screen displays in sporting venues like the Nationwide Area, STAPLES Center, Dodger Stadium, and Santa Anita Race Track, editing systems for Southern California Edison and Boeing, full television network affiliate stations like KITV, KHON, WLWT, WALA, HRTV and KPSP.Unversities include Azusa Pacific and Southern Methodist.

Some church projects include Calvary Chapel Golden Springs, Loma Linda University, Cottonwood Church and Saddleback Church. We are not primarily in equipment sales but where it helps our clients we can supply limited equipment. We may be small, but we have the experience and resources to handle large projects. The added bonus for our customers, is that with lower overhead, we are able to pass considerable savings on to them.
Services
We began business in 1975 as Distinctive Impressions, a part time record company providing custom recordings for schools and churches.
But Video has always been Dwight's first love.
He taught Television Engineering in Pasadena City Schools from 1970-1978.
The next six years he worked for Video Systems Network first as service manager and later as Production and Systems Engineer.
In 1984 Distinctive Impressions changed its emphasis to video design and installation and became fulltime for both Dwight and Janet.
